Opinion

PER CURIAM.

We conclude that section 849.29, Florida Statutes (1997), does not have effect within a foreign jurisdiction. Consequently, the trial court correctly dismissed the claim of appellant Kamal Muci, a Florida resident, against appellee Posadas De Puerto Rico Associates, Inc., for reimbursement of gambling losses sustained by Muci at appellee’s casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Affirmed.
