This is an action of contract brought to recover upon certain promissory notes. Abraham Wolff, the defendant’s husband, for some years before November 18, 1905, carried on a scrap iron and metal business at Lowell under the name of A. Wolff Company, and had a bank account with the plaintiff in the name of A. Wolff, on which he drew checks signed A. Wolff Company. This account was closed on December 4, 1905.
