This restricted appeal arises from the trial court's improper order granting default judgment against Appellants. Appellants seek reversal of the default judgment. First, the trial court did not have plenary power or jurisdiction to enter default judgment because it had previously dismissed the case with prejudice, and denied reinstatement. Additionally, Defendants/Appellants did not appear in the underlying case, did not file any post-judgment motions, and error is apparent on the face of the record. The standard of review is de novo (and potentially sufficiency of the evidence).
