Jack William GRIFFITH, Plaintiff-Appellant,
v.
Dan MANHON, Assistant Warden; Ms. McKencie, Counselor,
Defendants-Appellees.

No. 87-6722.

United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit.

Submitted: Jan. 25, 1988.
Decided: Feb. 25, 1988.

Jack William Griffith, appellant pro se.

Before JAMES DICKSON PHILLIPS and CHAPMAN, Circuit Judges, and BUTZNER, Senior Circuit Judge.

PER CURIAM:

A review of the record and the district court's opinion discloses that this appeal from its order denying relief under 42 U.S.C. Sec. 1983 is without merit. Because the dispositive issues recently have been decided authoritatively, we dispense with oral argument, deny the appellant's motion for appointment of counsel, and affirm the judgment below on the reasoning of the district court. Griffith v. Manhon, C/A No. 87-864 (E.D.Va. Dec. 10, 1987).

AFFIRMED.
