ISSUE ONE RESTATED The Health District met its burden of proof on all the elements of its cause of action for involuntary commitment.

ISSUE TWO RESTATED The trial court properly allowed the Appellant to participate in the trial through video teleconferencing.

STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Nature of the Case:

On December 17, 2014, the Galveston County Health District began proceeding to take J.T. into protective custody for the treatment of tuberculosis (“TB”), by filing its application for temporary protective custody.
