Opinion

Judge Tucker,

after staring the case, proceeded ; It is to be observed, that the taxes for the year 1805, became due on the 31st of December of that year; that they could not, however, be distrained for until the first of Alaiji succeeding; nor were they payable into the treasury, until the first of October following.
