STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Nature of the Case: This interlocutory appeal arises from a defamation suit Plaintiff Augustus Bray (“Bray”) filed against Amateur Athletic Union, Inc. (“AAU”), Paul Campbell (“Campbell”), Rod Seaford (“Seaford”), and Charles Oliver (“Oliver”). CR:1-9.

Defendants AAU, Campbell, Seaford and Oliver filed a Motion to Compel Arbitration and Abate Proceedings Pending Arbitration.

CR:32-86.

Trial Court: The 57th Judicial District Court, the Honorable David A. Canales, Presiding

Trial Court Disposition: The trial court denied Appellant’s Motion to Compel Arbitration and Abate Proceedings Pending Arbitration. CR:227. This interlocutory appeal followed.
