Opinion

PER CURIAM.

Under the exceptional circumstances of this case we grant the petition for writ of certiorari and quash the order denying the defendant’s emergency motion to continue the penalty phase proceeding in this first degree murder case. We remand to the trial court to reschedule the proceeding forthwith.
